Strategic Partnership in Benelux – Building Bolt-On Platforms on DMS

A large Benelux-based car dealer group, with a portfolio of luxury and premium new car brands, a used car market, and an automotive parts business, has entered into a strategic partnership with AutoFacets for digital solutions & services. This partnership will provide the dealer group with a flexible pool of world-class technology consultants with automotive domain expertise and will help the dealer group speed up its digital footprint to accelerate its growth in a fast-changing automotive retail ecosystem. The Dealer Management System (DMS) exists at the core of the application system. At AutoFacets, we specialize in building ‘bolt-on’ applications & platforms that integrate with the DMS seamlessly. The development and implementation of these applications are carried out in such a way that it enables the dealer group to adapt to their customers’ ever-changing expectations in real time. AutoFacets delivers digital solutions for evolving customer life cycle journeys that provide a competitive advantage in terms of both cost and product differentiation. The digitalization of the Customer Journey allows the dealership to engage more with their customers prior to and post customer visit.

ENGAGEMENT SO FAR

AutoFacets and the dealer group initiated their early engagement by implementing seamless solutions for digital check-in, service tracking, payment & delivery when the world was reeling under the sudden disruption brought by COVID. AutoFacets developed multiple “sales” and “aftersales” solutions around the core DMS platform. The application engages with customers by sending thousands of daily notifications for digital experiences on check-in, car intake, and others. Encouraged by the success, the dealer group envisioned an entire platform of functionalities by utilizing the full range of AutoFacets capabilities. This resulted in a multi-year strategic partnership that extends across multiple digital engagements. This collaboration has led to the creation of a Center of Excellence that forms an extension of the group’s existing IT department. AutoFacets’ technologists are embedded within the group’s organization, working as an extension of the group’s IT teams – building, running, and maintaining digital applications that provide end-customer delight.
